Jazzy Session incl. drink by Stauning, with Marie Mørck & Janus Templeton Trio Marie Mørck released her 2nd album in the spring of 2023, where she once again shows her irresistible talent as an up-and-coming singer and composer. She was nominated for the DMA in 2020 in the category 'Vocal Jazz Release of the Year' for her debut album 'Fooling Around', and with her new album she shows an even higher level of star potential - also internationally. Marie has just been selected to be part of an export promotion for Danish jazz at Europe's largest jazz fair in Germany earlier this year. And her voice... you won't soon forget it! The evening starts with a drink by Stauning Whiskey, served upon arrival.
Janus Templeton is one of Denmark's most sought-after drummers, who has played with all our home jazz stars from Jesper Thilo to Cæcilie Norby. This afternoon Templeton presents his own trio with Marie Mørck as special guest. Behind the keys is Jacob Christoffersen - one of our top pianists, who has been Sinne Eeg's permanent pianist since 2008, and from 2010 he has been the house pianist for long periods at Jazz House Montmartre. Jacob received the Ben Webster award in 2013 and has played with a large number of domestic and foreign jazz stars such as Jeff 'Tain' WaUs, Terry Linn Carrington, Peter Erskine and Kenny Washington. The trio's bassist will be announced as soon as possible.
