SKT. PETRI: Our insider tips to Copenhagen

Our tips to CPH

We have teamed up with some exciting personalities to share their favourite hotspots around the Copenhagen Latin Quarter.

Founder of the Danish design studio, Niels Strøyer Christophersen is has a love and great eye for design and aesthetics.

Niels’ hotspots are…

#1 – ART: THE DAVID COLLECTION
Address: Kronprinsessesgade 30, 1306 Copenhagen K
“I really like David’s Collection museum because it is kind of under the radar and offers a wide variety of art and objects. Here you can really sense that the collection is completed by one collector and not a whole institution trying to get as many visitors in as possible.”

#2 – FOOD: ADMIRALGADE 26
Address: Admiralgade 26, 1066 Copenhagen K
“This understated restaurant is a true foodie gem. The owners Christian and Sebastian are two very dedicated people, not trying to run a restaurant for commercial reasons, but for their love of food and creating a restaurant that is more a place “to be”. With a mixture of quality materials and unique furniture pieces, this place has a special atmosphere combined with the original high windows.”

#3 – FASHION: WOOD WOOD
Address: Grønnegade 1, 1107 Copenhagen K
“The concept store of Wood Wood is a renowned local Copenhagen brand. They mix and match their own collections with capsule collection and international brands, always carefully selecting products and accessories. There is always something new to discover here and is a great place to find a gift for a dear friend.”

#4 – NATURE: KASTELLET
Address: Gl. Hovedvagt, Kastellet 1, 2100 Copenhagen Ø.
“If you are looking for a place to escape the city buzz or just want to enjoy the views over Copenhagen, then the area of Kastellet is the place to be. It is very close to the city centre, but still feels like you are entering a time-pocket back in the days. If you have time the nearby church is also worth paying a visit, its design is very spartan and with very little decorative details kept in a grey colour combined with brass and gold details.”

#5 – CULTURE: OFR BOOKSHOP
Address: Blågårdsgade 33, 2200 Copenhagen N
“This legendary concept bookshop from Paris has finally opened a location in Copenhagen. The place offers the best of the best book titles, magazines, limited prints and selected art pieces that are introduced as a vernissage. There is a good chance that OFR will host an event during your visit, so make sure to check out their event calendar.”

#2 – CAFÉ: LA GLACE
Address: Skoubogade 3, 1158 Copenhagen K
“Conditori La Glace is the oldest and probably the best confectionary in Denmark, and with its historic ambiance this is a true Copenhagen institution. It is my go to place for a little ‘hygge’, extravagant cakes and self-indulgence.”
