Just over ten minutes by foot from Hotel Skt. Petri and you are surrounded by greenery. Copenhagen’s Botanical Garden was first established in 1600 but moved twice before it was ultimately given its current location in the city center in 1870. More than 13.000 different plant species are growing here, arranged in different sections. The garden features 27 beautiful glass houses, most notably the old Palm House that was built in 1874 and is 16 meters tall. Its narrow, cast-iron spiral staircase leads to a passageway at the top from which you have a wonderful view of the grounds. Admission is free!
