This is a barbecue restaurant in the meatpacking district of Copenhagen that has shed every last bit of the old steakhouse concept. All dishes served at Restaurant Kul are prepared either directly on the barbecue or in a barbecue oven. Smoky aromas waft through the dining area; the atmosphere is relaxed, and the waiters encourage guests to order a number of smaller dishes to share. While the food served is of a very high standard, the prices are moderate. On weekends it’s best to book ahead.
